SAN FRANCISCO – October 21, 2010 — BARS+TONE, a creative video agency based in San Francisco, has been ranked as number 17 in the San Francisco Business Times annual list of the “100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in the Bay Area.”
Demonstrating an impressive growth rate of 226.3 percent, BARS+TONE was the only media services company on the list with video production as its core marketing communications service.
To qualify for the ranking, a varied cross-section of traditional and virtual companies provided revenue figures for years 2007, 2008 and 2009, showing at least $200,000 in 2007 and achieving higher revenue in 2009. The San Francisco Business Times partners with PricewaterhouseCoopers to conduct the research and produce the list.
Making the list at a significantly high level, among the top 20 firms, marks a year of distinctions for BARS+TONE, which was named in September to the “Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies in America.”
The company recently expanded, moving to new quarters at 1550 Bryant Street in the City, doubling studio and office space, and adding four employees.
